Birthday Wishes...
Happy birthday to our parish council president Gus. Also, chronia polla and happy birthday to Fr. Panteleimon Fatsis, who turned 91 on Monday. We look forward to seeing Fr. Fatsis in a few weeks at the Cathedral for his daughter's wedding, and we keep him in our prayers always. What else? Well, Monday was also the nameday for His All-Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew. Tonight someone pointed out how Bartholomew seems a very British name but of course it has its origins in the Near East in the Assyrian tongue. We wracked our brains trying to remember if any parishioners have that name. We could not think of any, but Mary, one of our OCF alums, is marrying someone with that name, so we have at least that tangential connection in addition to that of the Patriarch.
